Born in 1981 in a tiny town of the Pre-Ural region, Votkinsk, I’m a Russian DJ touring worldwide. My sets range from deep, organic, melodic techno, to vibrant house. When not touring in one of the 55 countries on my list, from Australia to the US, I am composing and curating music for my own label, Luck of Access.
I started DJ-ing at the age of 15. Despite any prior musical education, my passion for electronic sound has rapidly evolved into a life’s work and 25 years of professional career, spinning vinyl in clubs, crowded European festivals and broadcasting at Boiler Room and Mixmag Lab, sourcing from my collection of records that has now grown to over 6 000 albums.
In 2006, I became a resident DJ of the unique web radio DeepMix.ru that was broadcasting non-commercial techno music for free and without any advertising to 6 000 monthly listeners from 53 countries till the end of summer 2011.
In 2013, I have appeared as the main protagonist of the immersive documentary feature film Kvadrat that explores the realities of techno DJing, shot in 5 countries.
As a producer, I mainly focus on ambient and dub sound, an opportunity to state an inward-outward message, not influenced by short-lived hype. My releases can be found at house and minimal house labels Circus Company and Endless.
My own record label, Luck of Access, provides a space for artists to reveal the unknown sides of their musical style. Usually, each release on Luck of Access includes one main club-oriented track and a few peculiar B-sides, the underestimated value of which we constantly highlight and reimagine.
